My History Blanket

My mum passed away in April. One of the things we did together was Guiding. We were both Brownie leaders and often did camps and sleep overs together. I have 2 camp blankets, one which I have filled since I was a Guide. Mum decided to start one around the Centenary of Girl Guiding (that's 2010 to any non Guides!) so was a bit late to the party. After much thought and consultation I decided to continue her blanket as a history blanket. I will collect historical badges for it and fill it with memories and history.

Currently my first batch of badges are all pinned on - it's going to take me a while to stitch them all!

 What do you think? Anyone got any old badges I could pinch?!
